Shah Abdul Hannan ((ベンガル語:শাহ আবদুল হান্নান)) is a Bangladeshi Islamic philosopher, writer, economist, educator and media personality. He is the former Deputy Governor of the Bangladesh Bank (Central Bank of Bangladesh) and Chairman of the National Board of Revenue. He is the founder of Darul Ihsan University, co-founder of North South University, Chairman of Islamic Economics Research Bureau. He was the Director of Islami Bank Bangladesh Ltd also.〔() 〕 ==Early life== Shah Abdul Hannan was born in 1939 Mymensingh, Bangladesh. He completed Bachelor of Economics and Political Science in 1959 and Master of Political Science in 1961 from University of Dhaka. He positioned 2nd and 1st in the exams respectively.〔 From the beginning of his life he was an observant and pious Muslim. He took part in most of the important student activisms for Islamic cause. After successfully completing studentship he joined the then Pakistan Civil Service.
